Feida Solar Energy (Pty) Ltd (“Feida Solar Energy”) provides warranties in accordance with South African consumer protection laws and in line with manufacturer warranty terms. All products sold are covered by the original manufacturer’s warranty unless otherwise specified.

  • Solar Panels: Typically covered by the manufacturer for 10–25 years (performance warranty) depending on brand.
  • Inverters & Batteries: Covered by the manufacturer for 2–10 years, depending on model and brand.
  • Accessories & Balance of System Components: Warranty periods vary according to manufacturer specifications.

2. Feida Solar Energy Warranty Support

  • Feida Solar Energy will assist customers in claiming warranties from manufacturers and suppliers.
  • Warranty claims are subject to the terms and conditions of the specific product manufacturer.
  • Installation services provided by Feida Solar Energy carry a 12-month workmanship warranty, covering defects in installation only.

3. Warranty Exclusions

This warranty does not cover:

  • Damage caused by misuse, negligence, or improper handling.
  • Damage resulting from unauthorised repairs, alterations, or modifications.
  • Normal wear and tear, including cosmetic changes that do not affect performance.
  • Damage due to natural disasters, lightning strikes, power surges, or accidents beyond our control.
  • Products not purchased directly from Feida Solar Energy or installed by non-accredited installers.

4. Warranty Claim Procedure

To submit a warranty claim:

  1. Provide proof of purchase (invoice or receipt).

  3. Describe the issue in detail and provide supporting evidence (photos, error codes, serial numbers).
  4. Feida Solar Energy will assess the claim and liaise with the manufacturer or supplier on your behalf.

5. Remedies

Depending on the manufacturer’s decision, the warranty remedy may include:

  • Repair of the product at no cost.
  • Replacement of the defective product (same or equivalent model).
  • Refund (only where repair or replacement is not possible, subject to supplier approval).

6. Customer Responsibilities

  • Ensure products are installed by qualified, accredited installers.
  • Follow manufacturer guidelines for usage, maintenance, and storage.
  • Retain all receipts, invoices, and warranty documents.

7. Limitation of Liability

Feida Solar Energy is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from product failure, except where required by law. Liability is limited to the repair, replacement, or refund of the product as per the warranty terms.
